Our Approach

The works were completed in line with Burberry’s evolving requirements and without disruption to live operations.

The project involved the creation of new male and female locker rooms, WCs, and showers, along with a newly designed Town Hall space. The scope also included significant M&E upgrades, installation of platform lifts, new lighting and power, and a full VRF system. Structural alterations and fire protection updates were carried out alongside the restoration of stone and timber elements, helping to preserve the character of the building while modernising its function. A new kitchen, bespoke joinery, external doors and windows, and external drainage systems were also installed, with roof repairs completed across the site.

TMT worked under live conditions throughout, phasing the project to ensure that Burberry’s production operations remained unaffected. We collaborated closely with the client and design teams, offering advice and guidance during architectural and M&E design changes to keep the project on track and aligned with Burberry’s vision.
The refurbishment has revitalised key parts of this iconic site, enhancing staff facilities and modernising critical infrastructure. The switch from gas boilers to an electric heating system marks a step forward in Burberry’s sustainability journey, aligning the building with future energy efficiency goals. Phase 1 demonstrates TMT’s ability to manage complex refurbishments in live environments, working flexibly around client operations while delivering high-quality results.
